Digital Literacy is an Imperative for Boards & Leadership Teams

A recent MIT survey showed that most boards are NOT digitally savvy (less than 23%).

Boards and Leadership teams need to improve their digital literacy to properly evaluate the strategic implications of digital disruption. They often lack a common language and understanding to assess the degree of threat that digital disruption poses to their business ecosystems and, more importantly, the language to create a unified and compelling vision for their enterprise’s success.

In this period of digital disruption, businesses focused narrowly on value chains are at a disadvantage. Merely tweaking current practices is not enough, next-gen enterprises think more broadly about their business ecosystems and how to leverage digitization. Key questions to inform your organization’s business #transformation strategy include:

  • Which business model is best for your enterprise’s future?
  • What is your digital competitive advantage?
  • How will you innovate to reinvigorate and renew your business model?
  • Do you have the crucial capabilities to reinvent the enterprise?
  • Do you have the metrics, governance and leadership to make the transformation happen?
